An Afternoon with Vichy

Lately I've been stuck on Vichy skincare. I've got extremely dry skin, and Vichy claims to be made with special spring water from Vichy, France. I don't know if it's the French water in it that makes this stuff magic, but there's something in there.

I'll post a more in depth review after the break.
Each title product is a purchase link if that's your bag and you want to try it out.

Micellar water is super popular in other countries as a cleanser. It's basically a light oil suspended in water that you shake slightly and apply to your face with a cotton ball. It cleans the nasty off your face, but leaves the natural hydration alone.
I use this after I remove my makeup with some random brand of makeup wipe that was on sale that week. Just drop a little on a cotton ball, and swirl around your face, including your eyes. It's not a super strong eye makeup remover, but it does remove residue from some hard-to-hit areas.

VICHY LIFTACTIV SUPREME

I'm 28, but I do use anti-aging products. I have to be careful with what I use because my skin is very sensitive, but I've found that this moisturizer doesn't burn my skin or bother it in any way. It gives me hydration without being heavy or oily, and sinks in quickly. I use it at night, even though this one is a day cream, and I wake up looking like a fetus.

Vichy IDÉALIA LIFE SERUM
This is probably my favorite product from Vichy. You see a difference in your skin within a week of using it. It's an illuminating serum. It's not glittery or shimmery; it just gives your skin back its luminosity that is lost over time. It sinks in quickly, and doesn't get sticky, which is BIG for me. I cannot do sticky. It visibly reduces pores, and is wizardry in a bottle.

Maybe it's because every product from Vichy contains spring water from Vichy, France that Coco Chanel used to bathe in. Maybe it's because it's just good fucking skincare. This stuff is definitely a favorite right now.
